Developed in Austria, The Vienna Lager is a classic style known for its malty aromas, moderate bitterness, and fairly dry finish. For our iteration, we brewed with mainly Vienna malt in addition to Bohemian pils, light Munich, and a touch of carared malts. In the boil, we utilized Magnum hops, followed by Hallertau Mittelfruh in the whirl and dry hop.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: amber/copper color with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: bready/biscuity malt tones backed up by some caramel notes and a nice earthy to floral hoppiness and a little bit of herbal to semi-spicy hop tones down in there too
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a sweet to spicy quality with a light herbal tone underneath; finishes malty sweet with a little bit hop bitterness
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; great amount of smoothness along the tongue with nothing distracting
Overall: pretty good Vienna lager I'd be willing to come back to.

Canned March 4th 2025. From Beer Drop.
Pours a clear and very bubbly amber gold with a 2 finger head of foam. Great retention, lacing is very good.
The smell is kind of a spicy hops, caramel and bread malt, but that hoppiness is intriguing.
The taste accentuates my remark aboot the hop profile. Spicy with a zing that I have rarely tasted before. The malt is some caramel sweetness and bready.
The mouthfeel is firmly in the medium category and wow, it still has a finger of foam.
Drinkable? You bet and I would definitely drink this again.

Canned 2/26/24, drunk 3/20/24. Clear rusty-amber. Medium-sized, white head, moderate retention. Fruity malts with snappy yeast. Not too much caramel or toast, just background notes, with the main force of base malt being clean and deep. Excellent, fresh herbal hop notes. Nicely balanced overall. Malty, great depth with great attenuation. Above-average hoppiness, pushing the envelope, but it's not too bitter and the malt still shines through, as well as light yeast on the finish. This is a tough style that succumbs to being boringly toasty or caramel-heavy, but Foam has done an admirable job of bringing some relief to that. Like a hoppy pale lager with just the right amount of fruity, caramelly, toasted specialty malt. You could accuse this of being not Vienna enough, but I think this is just how you have to do it to make it enjoyable.
