Framinghammer is a unique creation that pays homage to our hometown of Framingham Massachusetts. This is a hard working city that can handle some heavy-lifting beer and appreciates good craftsmanship. The Framinghammer base is perfectly suited for creating decadent, barrel aged versions every year. Each batch spends a lengthy conditioning period in various casks to create a smooth, chocolatey texture that compliments some creative additions.

2021 bottle, drunk 2/24/24. Clear, dark, small, dark beige head quickly to ring. Lovely, spicy, delicate bourbon in the nose. Dark chocolate, dainty spice, hints of caramel and light prunes. Clean, not boozey. Soft, malty, lightly toasty, lots and lots of dark chocolate but at this point it's hard to tell malt from adjunct. Bourbon is very spicy and well done. Not sharp, not hot. Attenuation is high at this point with a medium to medium-full body with no booze.

Pours black into a tulip. Mocha head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Bourbon and chocolate aromas. Soft with dark soy, chocolate and hot vanilla upfront turning to dry oak in the lasting finish.
