Can from the source enjoyed at home.
Pours a lightly hazy dark brown with ruby edges and thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Bready toasty light chocolate and dark dried fruit. Smooth mouthfeel great brew!

Canned 473ml. -from the brewery taproom. Amberish coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramel and light chocolate in the nose. Mild roasty, light caramel, chocolate and bitterish finish.

Canned 12/6/23, from the brewery, drunk 2/24/24. Dark, clear, deep garnet-magenta tints. Large, copper-tinged, dark-beige head, good retention. Toasty, bready, bit of salinity and peppery hop. A bit timid on the base malt. Clean. Medium-light body. More base maltiness than the nose lets on. Some licorice, rye bread, spicy hop and lingering honey and chocolate. Bready, clean. I'd still like a little more maltiness, but the attenuation and cleanliness, with tasteful hop additions are standouts here. One of the best lagers I've had from these guys, who seem to be getting stronger and stronger at lagers all the time.

Can (12/6/23) pour from The Beer Store, Salem. Opaque dark brown with nice sparkle, thin cap of beige head with good retention and soapy rings of lacing. Aroma is nice earthy roasted malt with bit of toffee. Taste is stronger version of aroma. Smooth, thick texture average carbonation and finish as taste with dry lingering bitterness. Good strength version of the style.

4 oz draft. Near brown (deep amber) in color. Aroma and flavor are a match. Dark beady malt, dried leaves, mild Saaz bitterness. Crisp texture. Nice! 3.9
