Canned 11/17/23, purchased from the brewery on...2/10/24! Hey, not as bad as the Swoll that was 4 months old. This one is a youthful 3 months old! Drunk 2/22/24. Bright lemon-brass-golden. Giant, frothy, white head, strong retention. Fresh yeast adding an enjoyable fresh plaster character. Juicy citrus, light mango, light pineapple. Not getting much in the way of Simcoe. Maybe a bit of pine and wood on the very end. Clean, honey-like maltiness seems reasonably attenuated. Ah, that's where the Simcoe is, in the flavor. Woody, lightly piney, not resinous. A bit punchy on the pineapple from the Citra. Malty, not overly sweet. A little bit of blandness from...particulate maybe? Lightly bitter, pretty good balance, but the big Simcoe flavor is a bit overly woody for me.
