Shockingly well hidden alcohol given that it’s 18%. Really good. Heavy wood presence with nuttiness, dark chocolate, vanilla and booze in a nice way.

Bottle. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong amburana wood, cinnamon, roast, booze. Thick, chewy roast, cinnamon, roast, nice sweetness, boozy, enjoyed this.

Lots of tobacco, almost charred. Opening up and that fades a bit. Lots of barrel and vanilla notes. The spice disappears alongside the assassin .

375mL bottle at the Cellar, 2/17/24. Clear, bright mahogany-charred magenta. No head. Beautiful, beautiful Amburana, with earth, subtle, rich spice and plentiful bourbon and malt. This one is more Amburana forward than the new mjk but it's still lovely, despite being a bit dominant. Should definitely ease up over time. Soft, rich, good attenuation with pepper, earth, salty cinnamon from the wood and gentle bourbon. Soft, rich, malty, not quite syrupy texture. No booze. I could see rating this even higher but I'm curious to first see how the amburana character evolves and integrates.
