Brewery draught, 2/16/24. Dark, clear, small, dark beige head. Nose is honey, coffee, sticky toffee and vanilla. Clean, not over roasted. Soft, sticky, malty but nicely dry without excessive coffee or roast. Clean, fruity, snappy, even.

Cask at the brewery, 12/17/16. Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, hints of smoke, mild lactic twang. Thin, refreshing.

Pour is a near black with a small white head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt and a bakers chocolate. Flavor is an even better roasted malt and a good amount of chocolate. This was a fine example of an old world porter. Really flavoful with plenty of roasted and chewy malt without being overly heavy.

32 oz growler shared by JohnF. The pour is a hazed brown black, with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is ashy mineral, along with a lightly charred roasted malt. Perhaps a hint of coffee in the back as it warms as well. The taste is dry flinty mineral, along with the charred roast coffee malt. Nice pine hop finish to the back. The palate is med to light bodied, with the chalky bone dry mineral finish. Nice one, I really like my Porters super dry. Thanks for bringing these growlers back and sharing John.
