Originating in Regensburg, Bavaria, this is a traditional weizenbier brewed with Rye instead of wheat. With 60% of the mash bill comprised of various rye malts, this beer pours a copper-mahogany colour with notes of rye bread, clove and fruit esters

Draft at Nashua brewpub. Cloudy brown colored. Nose is red fruit and bready. Tastes of figs, berry, thick doughy bread. Rye spice is subdued. Thin bodied

Brewery draught, 2/10/24. Lightly cloudy, rusty-amber. Thin cover of beige head. Fruity, nutty, lightly minerally nose. Clean but very crackery and moderately toasty on the malt side making me wonder if it's going to be overdone on rye and thus thin. Toasty, crackery, carbonic. Yeah, a bit thin. Not hideously so, but just too much toasted bread. Fruity yeast. Clean, dry.
