Brewery draught, 1/14/24. Clear, medium-amber. Beige head, quickly to ring. Freshly emptied bourbon with quite a bit of coconut tannin. Spicy and rich with a bit of biscuit and graham cracker behind it from the malt. No sign of pepper in the nose. Clean. Huge shot of pepper immediately, warming the palate, falling just short of burning. They've done a nice job of not making it unbearable. Soft, malty texture, dry, lingering biscuit. Bourbon completely dominated by the pepper. Everything completely dominated by the pepper. But they went for it. Didn't half ass it. Respect.
