500mL bottle, I believe 2020, drunk 12/31/23. Dark, clear. Tan bubbles quickly to ring. Strong, spicy bourbon with heavy chocolate and cacao and a candy-like character providing a tag-along-like character. A bit more weird adjunct than I'd prefer. Wish it was just coconut and no caramel. Not boozey. Dry, caramel-forward. Where's the bourbon? Very slight. Tastes like a tag-along cookie. Bit on the sugary-artificial side. A bit bready and weird. Slight, slight lingering bourbon.

Pours black into a shaker. Mocha head with medium retention crackles and recedes to skim surface. Chocolate, coconut and (arugula?) aromas. Medium bodied with hot bourbon, chocolate-covered dried pit fruit, and coconut upfront turning to sweet earthy pumpernickel in the lasting finish.
