Pours mahogany-tinged black into a willi. Tan micro head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Toasted pumpernickel and raisin brown bread aromas. Soft with dried chocolate-covered pit fruit, toasted brown bread and clove upfront turning to earthy burnt pumpernickel in the dry, lasting finish.

16 oz can from John, thanks, 2/15/24. Canned 12/14/23. Dark reddish-brown color with a tan head. Chocolate, toast, and grains. Smooth. Nice flavor. Good beer.

Brewery draught, 12/29/23. Clear, dark amber. Large, dark beige head. Nutty cacao-like notes with toast and light roast. Good honey-like base. Clean, very chocolatey, malt, well-attenuated. Dries nicely with roasty-toasty malts and a clean, crisp finish. Not over-specialty malted. Very drinkable and balanced.

Dark brown I wouldn’t say inky black. At brewhouse. Foamy head. Nose is coffee mostly. Tatses of coffee, light chocolate, some pine trees, copper pennies, fruit. Medium light bodied
