It’s never too early for gingerbread. Our Russian Imperial Stout is aged in bourbon barrels for the better part of a year and combined with fresh ground Ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla bean, and sweet molasses. We add a touch of lactose post barrel aging for a smooth big body that opens with warm and welcoming ginger, cinnamon, and bourbon that finishes with a deep roastiness and lingering vanilla undertones.

16oz canned 11/5/2020, drunk 12/21/23. Clear, dark mahogany. Fizzy, tan head slowly fizzles to cover. For three years this is still a shocking amount of spice....it's not as intense and piercing, but it's still dominant. Barely any room for malt and even less bourbon character. Not boozey. Some light vanilla, molasses and chocolate lingering. More malty in flavor with fizzy, loose carbonation and heavy, nearly burning spice character. Light bourbon, but it's washed away by ginger and nutmeg. Body is medium, not as rich and thick as it needs to be for the abv or all of this insane spice. It's clean, it's malty, it's not too sweet or boozey, but it's just not thick enough and the spice is overdone. When it's still too over-spiced at over three years, you done screwed up.
