Sherman is our whole cone-hopped rendition of our beloved Red IPA, Sequoia. Named after General Sherman, this giant Sequoia is the largest of its kind residing in the Giant Forest Groves of California. To honor its colossal stature, we intensified our hop regimen with some of our favorite varieties.
Sherman pours a mahogany hue with brilliant white foam that clings to the glass after each sip. On top of its rich malty base, a hefty charge of whole cone Chinook and Simcoe brings forth aromas of fresh mandarin and grapefruit zest, followed by wisps of sticky pine resin. It is as unmistakably balanced, complex, and refreshing as the rarified air found in the land of giant trees.
We hope you enjoy this as the seasons come and pass—Enjoy!

Can at home. Unclear red color, huge sized white head. Aroma is malts, hops, piney. Flavor is malts, piney hops, heavy resinous hop notes, hops, hop bitters, bitter. Medium to full body, average to medium carbonation. Quite solid. I quite like it.

pours nutty brown to maghoni, light brown smooth head. looks about the same as a vienna.
aroma is crisp malty with green leaves spicy notes and an almost slightly sourish note, but it seems to be from hops.
flavor is great fullbdied brown ale with an agressive hopping that is mostly neutral bitter and not taking over the show, but adding a distinct hoppy balance, a bit like in north european pilsener type lagers. quite complex flavor and very smooth palate. for this kind of beer, it won't get much better.

Can (12/2/24) shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Light brown with ring of head and trace lacing. Aroma is citrus and malt. Taste is strong pale/caramel malts, bittering hops. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste.

Can. Thank you TJ. Slightly hazy red / brown color. Aroma shows mild pine, mild toffee. Flavor has a soft toffee, caramel malt. The hops are pine influence with soft spruce tips.

Charlton draught, 12/15/24. Clear dark, auburn-amber. Good-sized butter colored head. Christmas tree and very light resin with a bit of toast and biscuit. Clean, with lingering grapefruit. Sprucey, fruity, lightly syrupy. Moderate toast, light resin. Ok balance but more medium malt than I'd prefer. Lingering spruce, Christmas spice, resin and caramel...
