Pour is a clear ruby red with a small white head. Aroma is dark brown sugar and a little plumb. Flavor is dark molasses, sugar and more dark plumb. Finish leaves some sugar on the tongue. This was a spot on dubbel, lots of sugar and dark fruit with no alcohol felts. Maybe a little thinner than a Belgian Dubbel but that is a minor complaint.

Canned 10/7/24, drunk 12/10/24. Clear, medium-amber. Medium-sized, dark beige head steadily to cover. Elegant phenols in the nose convey black pepper with nicely attenuated malts adding light brown bread, mild raisin and various spice. Hints of plum and honey lingering. Clean, soft, mellow...no gross big clove, no bubble gum, banana. Soft, mellow, malty, mild. Just really nicely, cleanly-fermented stuff without some gross, clovey-bubble-gummy, crude yeast. Bread, pepper, various other spice. Just a hint of clove. Lingering honey and deeply satisfying, but appropriately attenuated malts.
