500mL bottle #847, edition 16, shared by Chalumeaux on 11/17/24. Undetermined clarity, dark. Thin head. It's like Hunah, but you can actually smell the maple in the barrel. Clean, not boozey, chocolatey, tasteful adjuncts. Vanilla a nice addition. Nutty, chewy, well-attenuated, rich but not boozey or sugary. Medium body, mellow bourbon and rich maple. The adjuncts are delicious and moderate. Maple and nuttiness. This is rich, balanced and deliciously spicy.

Bottle 847 catador XVI split 2 ways. Aroma is maple, vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon. Taste is nice, creamy, follows aroma with a nice balanced finish. Chilies do not overpower. Well crafted

On tap at Cigar City, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of chili peppers and cinnamon upfront, followed by cocoa and subtle bourbon barrel. Flavour is rich, with a nice explosion of chili and cinnamon upfront to complete the cocoa and dark sugars. The bourbon is more laid back but does serve to accentuate the base and adjuncts. Excellent.
