Love in Idleness is a Grisette style beer (basically a low-ABV saison with a high proportion of malted wheat) which was brewed using flowers from our friends at Living Under One Sun, the community allotment next to the brewery. We wanted to brew something to help raise awareness and money for their fund-raising campaign to open a community hub in Tottenham.

Malt: Bohemian Pilsner, Malted Wheat, Spelt, Torrified Wheat, Acid Malt
Yeast: Belle Saison
Hops: Perle, Relax

Keg at BE. It pours hazy yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, bready, clean, a bit green, floral, light menthol vibes, cereal and straw. The taste is crisp, dry, soft, straw, grassy, floral, clean, cracker, white bread, white grape, gooseberry and lemon with a drying finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Soft and easy going. Decent.

Keg at the first Beavertown Extravaganza, day 2 - London. Pours hazy yellow with a creamy, white head. Moderately sweet, with ample dry wheat bread, certain herbal qualities. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more relaxed bready sweetness, some straw, more dried herbs, lemon rind. Easygoing, as the style ought to be.
