The magic of terroir—the environmental conditions, especially soil and climate, in which hops are grown and give a hop their unique flavor and aroma—continues to enthrall us at Tree House.
To illustrate the difference between region and growing conditions, we have begun the Many Ways series, which seeks to brew single-hop beers with hops sourced from specific growing regions and farms.

This rendition contains Nelson Sauvin, grown exclusively by our friends at Garston Hops in the Queenstown region of New Zealand’s South Island. Juicy, juicy, juicy. We discovered Garston's wonderful farm completely by chance while driving to Milford Sound. It was a beautiful and delightful happenstance, and our relationship has only grown since.

We hope you enjoy this unique expression of our favorite hop!

Can at home, 14th November 2025. Pours a hazy orange. Aroma is earthy and dank. Taste is intense, dank, musty Nelson, also bright with good depth and a bitter edge

Can (8/5/25) from trade with Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Opaque dark yellow-light brown with thin head, fair retention, tons of lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, white grape, stone fruit, soft herb, vegetation. Taste is strong white grape, hint of herb and general vegetal quality, backbone of citrus with yeast and late malts. Smooth, frothy, silky texture, soft carbonation, no alcohol, finish as taste. The only way here is "more please!" Exceptional.

16 ounce can thank you TJ! Aroma is luscious white grape, straw and soft signature houses. The white grape pops in the aroma and continues on in the flavor. The flavor is a perfect balance of herb in weeds, balance by the juicy white grape hints. Juicy and lightly bitter. ABV completely hidden. Awesome!!

Charlton draught, 10/15/24. Milky-maize. Small, white head. Initially, the nose has a heavily floral, garlic-laced character that I've noticed in a few of the other entries in this series. Comes off a bit too perfumey. In the mouth it's a bit less given to this, mostly on account of the soft, supple, deep malts. I do think this is also a product, at least somewhat, of the ice cold serving temp, as it starts to soften as it warms. Still, even with warming, a bit more pineapple and floral perfume than I'd prefer. The texture is perfect though.

Not sure if it’s the w, but this is sensational. A very pronounced grape flavor that blends wondrously with the dankness. Fresh.

Pours a hazy, gold-pineapple, with mid-sized, lasting, frothy white head. Aroma is a touch dank and garlicky upfront, with citrus and tropical fruits. Flavors follow. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness running through the finish.
