Bottle 50 cl. Pours a dark brown with an amber hue and a creamy and lacing beige head. Surprisingly discreet aroma considering the long list of spice additions, but the only one really coming through is the star anise. Fairly rich, sweet and very smooth body with distinct Belgian yeast accents. Licorice, soft roast and molasses before a warming finish. It's a sea of Xmas spices but quite well made. 081025

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Some spices present. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Ask No 5 Juleurt ].Unclear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, bread, toasted - roasted, moderate yeasty, belgium yeast, anis - anis seed, blackthorn - sloe. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy butter, candy, sweet yeast, fruity yeast, belgium yeast, anis - anis seed, blackthorn - sloe, bread. Bottle. Pours clear dark reddish copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of fruit and yeast. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and yeast, with notes of hops and touches of herbs and spice. Estery and malty afteraste with notes of fruit. Okay.

Bottle, 7.2%. Roasted and dusty aroma, smells like old spices, pepper or something. Clear dark brown colour. Small frothy tan head. The flavour has some cinnamon and aniseed. Also a little black pepper, I think. Caramelly finish. OK spicy but well-balanced.

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, spices, and straw, leading to a dry spicy finish.
