This seasonal brew is a traditional, amber colored, malt-focused, oompah band playing, lederhosen wearing, sausage eating, German-style Marzen.
The Fall is our favorite time of year for festive beer drinking, and this is our spin on the German amber lagers produced in Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest. This approachable lager falls somewhere in between a festbier and Marzen style with biscuit malt goodness from traditional German malts balanced with a delightful noble hop finish. The result is a deliciously drinkable liter. Zum Wohl!

Restaurant draught, 9/11/24. Clear, medium amber-copper. Small, off-white head, modest retention. Light toast and floral notes with a bit of earthy spice. Lighter base not but not over toasted, seemingly. Surprisingly hoppy for the style and hop used. In the mouth it fares similarly, though it's not over toasted or in use of too much specialty malt of any sort. Good caramel, red fruit and depth with vanilla and great dryness on the finish. Quite crisp and drinkable with a refreshing floral and herbal hop character.

Pours slightly hazed amber into a stein. White head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Sour citrus and star fruit aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel upfront turning to tart underlying dried apricot and dusty plum skin before the lasting earthy multigrain finish.

16 oz. draft. Dark amber color. The flavor is mostly malt consistent with toffee and earthy grain. Soft nondescript bitterness in the finish. decent.
