Can, undated, though Total Wines had a 9/4/24 label. Drunk 9/10/24. This probably wasn't my best bet as an introduction to High Limb, but I'm only human, so I too am wowed by pumpkin beverages and had to buy it. Hazy, pale blonde. Fizzy. Smells pretty reasonable. Pumpkin, apple cider, light vanilla, even lighter spice. The fact that you can smell the gourds and the apples is great. It's not sweet or brown sugary. Not boozey. Sweeter in flavor, albeit not ridiculously so. Brown sugar is notable, alongside fruit and vegetable sugars. Soft vanilla and tasteful spice. Are beer geeks going to love this? Obviously not, but someone put some thought in to this and it's not just a shitty, sweet, flabby cider with over-spiced, over-sugared adjunct. The cider, which even has a light lactic edge, comes through strongly on the finish. If you can respect Heart of Darkness, you can respect this.
