This beer was aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels for one year, creating a vinous imperial stout: notes of blackberry jam & baker's chocolate.

Pours dark brown into a snifter. Tart grape aromas. Medium bodied with sour grope and chocolate covered cherry front to back.

500 ml bottle thanks to me. Thanks me! Aroma is chocolate and soft Cabernet grape. Flavor follows with a very dry texture. Red grape shows in a decent manner. However, the body has been thinned out by the wine. Not sure why is is almost watery?

500mL bottle shared by Airforcehops on 8/3/24. Clear, dark, big tan head falling quickly to cover. Good mix of oak, malt, grape and mineral. Not too roasty as the DB RIS succumbed to. Maybe a touch of alcohol yet. Woah, that's like all red wine and not much body. Thin, watery, light. Zero depth or sweetness/richness. Just oak, red wine and dry, roasty, biscuity malt and toasted notes. Disappointing.
Thin, roasted malt, chocolate, wine barrel.
