Lager - Czech Pilsner / Světlý Regular
Score
6.12
ABV: 5.0% IBU: - Ticks: 25
Straw yellow lager (that means lagered or matured for 4 weeks) hopped with Czech grown Saaz or Zatec noble hops with a distinctive hop aroma and bitterness usually found in Bohemian pilsners. Brewed with the finest English lager malt and fermented with a lager yeast and then cold conditioned for 4 weeks. Pilsners are traditionally quite bitter and this version is no different.

Not for lager louts – its got too much flavour. It’s nothing like the Eurofizz brewed in chemical factories in the UK.

Bottle by Cuso, thanks! Quite good beer falling well within the style, though maybe a little bit too hoppy. That is no flaw on the hedonistic scale though. Grassy, flowery. Subtle honeyish maltiness. Very good.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy, grainy and wet grassy aroma, a dusty pollen touch. Taste is minimally sweet grainy, dry strawy, a cautious touch of honey, dry hoppy overtones with hints of cardboard, wet grass, a floral touch. To some degree variegated, spicy; obviously high-class ingredients. Not bad.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Spicy earthy hop aroma. Easy drinking in the mouth. Some lasting bitterness on the finish. I thought it was good. Good use of hops throughout, clean, no faults. Arguably the best lager made in Kent.
