Cask at Moon Under water, Wolverhampton. Pours lemon yellow with a small white head. There’s smooth citrus in the aroma, plus some hints of hops. In the mouth it is briefly sweet to start off with, before restrained bitterness and floral hops take over. Hints of grains, herbs and spices and a zesty feeling overall. Finish is slightly dry and sticky. It’s decent and certainly swiggable – if a little bland.

Cask @ The Queen's Head, Burley. Excellent condition this time, good clear gold appearance, white head. Yeasty sweet with a smooth palate. Lovely. Up-rate. September 12th 2023: Cask @ JDW Shrewsbury Hotel. Misty pale yellow appearance, small white head. Zesty lemon tainted by old water notes, perhaps past its best..
