The world of craft beer (whatever that is) has grown way beyond our wildest imagination since we mashed in our virgin brew in 2007, in that nuclear fallout shelter that served as the first location for Amager Bryghus. The amount of breweries worldwide has exploded since that, to what - two or three times as many as back in 2007? It's a crazy and inspiring world for us beer folks, and it's also an extremely competitive environment with many breweries struggling to find their niche in the market. And that bastard virus sure didn't help. But we're still here! Older and fatter, but definitely not wiser or richer. But we insist on being silly and curious and playful and to keep experimenting and goofing around with those basic ingredients that make a beer. That's why we created the Brewer's Playtime series, to do exactly that: play around. We'll be testing new ingredients and new approaches to brewing, and hopefully you won't notice anything at all, because the beer is just that damned good! As we always say at Amager, we take beer seriously, but ourselves way less so.

Can picked up at Amager Bryghus Taproom Nørreport and drunk at home (25/07/2021) - very hazy golden yellow with a white head. Bold citrus fruity with notes of grapefruit, tender juicy tangerine segments, splash of lime, some tropical fruity notes punching through, sweetish soft malts, nice substantial mouthfeel and body, solid balanced bitter piney hoppy finish. Can, 0.44l. Aroma of mango, pineapple, citrus, flowers and biscuit. Pours hazy dirty yellow color with thick creamy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts refreshing tropical fruity, peachy and resinous, following is biscuity, grainy, faint medicinal and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Torn between fruit & hops...

Smell- weak to medium, fruity, juicy-ish, orange-ish. Foam-thin, hops, citrus, weak fruits, weak bitter tones. Head is small-ish, white color, yellow tint. Appearance- usual nice amager style for can. Hazy, yellow, orange color, no carbonation, basically looks like orange juice. From- snifter Taste - fruity, hops, bitter tones, the background is hoppy and bitter, very citrusy, some lime notes, maybe kivi. Not as sweet and fruity as some other hazy, this is basically very citrusy and hoppy, not bad, but not for me.
