Can, medium bubbly head, black colour with reddish hues, vanila, charred wood, chocolate, cocoa, hint of dark bread, smooth, quite dry. Nice but not too exciting.

For an iced cream porter it’s about as good as it gets. Medium sweetness but certainly the dominant factor. Base porter is just top notch though. Bierkonig ams

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours akmost black with a msall foamy tan head and good lacing. There’s malts and lactose in the aroma , plus some hints of toffee. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with flavours of fudge, vanilla and chocolate. Hints too of malts and some underlying bitterness plus some lactose later on, Finish is slightly dry with a whole wadge of chocolate. This is very nice - but a bit short on actual beer characteristics !

Creamy light brown head on a mahogany coloured body. Coffee, vanilla & chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & creamy with a nicely carbonated end. Caramel, malt, vanilla & chocolate tastes with bitter espresso finish. Very nice.

Can. Thornbridge subscription box. Bonus tick here. Sure I’ve had this before. Who cares. Nice vanilla creaminess on top of a decent fruity, slightly dry and ashy porter. Nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with a warm tint of red and a smallish, beige head. Odd aroma of vanilla and....Brett? There's no Brett it just has a bit of that smell. Medium body, soft on the palate, subtle roast and a vague, odd spiciness. Not really sure what this is all about, Ice Cream Porter? 030220
