Bottle from the dock. Pours deep reddish black, medium creamy tan head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is definitely chocolate, cocoa nibs and roasted malts. Flavor follows, medium sweet and light plus bitter, heavy chocolate with a roasted malt backing. Medium body, creamy moutfhfeel. A bit hot, which is odd for the ABV. Solid.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with orange glints and a beige head. Aroma is chocolate/bourbon. Med body or better. Flavor is slightly earthy, slightly milky chocolate, very, very smooth treacly dark malt. And the bourbon sort gets lost in all the nice flavors. Finishes oh so chocolate and delicious.
