Bottle thanks to Andrew for sharing! Pours clear mahogany, small beige head, minimal lacing. Aroma is roast with a hint of varnish and light bourbon. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, just a hint of tartness. Medium body. Not terrible.

Pours black with a thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of oaky bourbon, malt, dark fruit and vanilla. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, roast malt, bourbon and black cherry. The finish is oaky and fruity with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Black with a big tan head. Sourish aroma with bourbon, vanilla, roast, wine, cookies, cherries, oak, vinegar. Sweet-sourish flavor with bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, oak, wine, dark fruits (some cherries), a vinegar note, roast, a bit of alcohol, and a dry finish. Full-bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Really good and complex.

On tap at The Beer Mongers, pours black with a medium brown head. Nose brings out a good mix of sourness and roasted malt. Flavour is very similar, starting with huge notes of roasted malt and accentuated perfectly with medium sourness. Hard to explain how cohesive and well-done this is. Not usually a fan of sour stouts, but they nailed this. Excellent.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a tan smear. Bourbon aroma fills the air, but up close it seems to have some cola! And definite lacto/pedio upon a deep inhale. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor starts bourbon/cola and then there’s a lot of chocolate, which drizzles away to reveal a non-brett sour. No tart. Just sour. Bourbon, chocolate, sour - about covers the finish. Really smooth and refined compared to a number of wild/sours. Query why this hit as IS, but I guess W/S-IS isn’t a category yet. Fun to drink, and it’s not "rotten" enough to scare anyone. Tho likely challenging for a new comer. Get it if you can!
