Salford RED - A modern take on a classic beer style, it has a wonderfully deep red colour that comes from the speciality cara and crystal malts. We use a mixture of chinook and columbus in this beer to bring a nice pine aroma and flavour to the deep body of the beer. Cascade is also used to add a slight grapefruit edge and round out the aroma and flavour profile.

Keg tap at the Two-Tailed Lion, Leicester. Light red/amber, hazy with a beige head and a lot of lacing. Light sweet malty aroma, some berries. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste with a more balanced bitter finish. Nice enough, but honestly there isn't a lot to it.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear russet colour lasting beige head. A spicy rye red ale. Good hop good malt good rye flavour. I do tend to like rye beers and actually this has more rye than most. But it's good. Definite rye on the flavour malt. Then the spicy hoppy finish. Great I thought.
