Oct. ’14. On tap at the brewpub. It poured pitch black body with tiny brown head atop. Very nice imperial stout base aroma, besides typical coffee, chocolate and licorice there was also cherry liquor and wood. Flavor was not intense. Lightly sweet malt included caramel, dark fruits, chocolate. Another, lightly roasted malt gave coffee, burnt sugar, smoked wood note and finally some real bitterness the obvious herbal hops spiced it up. Complex, with every new sip something else opened. Medium bodied, thin for the style. A bit simpler dominant flavors remained into the finish, especially coffee and herbal spices. Bitterness was more pronounced at the very end. Very nice and elegant, although a bit light for my taste.

Draught at the brewpub.
Black body, with an amazing, very creamy, stable, beige head.
Light aroma of roasted malts, barell notes, dark berries.
Taste is surprisingly smooth, with berries, cherry, dried fruits, roasted malts, coffee, barell notes, sweet sherry.
Full, creamy, velvety mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes roasty, fruity and wooden.
Tasty! Full, dark, but also smooth and with an amazing creaminess. Really enjoyable and unique!

Tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma suggests sherry. Med + body. Very Smooth. Flavor is smooth dark malt - stout with wood notes and hints of wine/sherry. Mellow. Tasty.
