Deadication beer to Australian actor Bud Tingwell, possibly most famous for featuring in all four Margaret Rutherford 'Marple' movies, but also was seen in a hammer horror, albeit a Dracula rather than zombie movie. He died on this day, with the brew very strawberry in both aroma and taste, with its heavy sweetness giving it more than a nod towards its said ice cream styling. Not much else gets a look-in but as a dark-malt beer it remains pretty good. Somewhat sticky-sweet.

Black with a tan head. Aroma of sweet strawberry chocolate. Flavour has milky ice cream notes, chocolate and berries on a sweet base.

Can at home picked up from Tesco. A clear dark brown black coloured pour with a loose light tan head head. Aroma is oily, jammy strawberry, vanilla, adjunct. Flavour is composed of oily dark chocolate, jammy strawy, bitter burnt sugars, harsh lingering bitter. Oily and harsh. Palate is oikly, slick , mellow carbonation, Meh, too adjuncty.

This was my weird beer that I took to a couples' evening with a great friend. We had this with dessert and I have to say it was really horrible. Overwhelming sweet and strawberry and it went straight down the sink. Blurgh!

440ml can from Tesco Eastbourne. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting, frothy light brown head. The aroma is strawberries and lactose. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, roasty, strawberry vanilla lactose, light boozy, medicinal, liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Fake sugary flavours all the way through with a somewhat unpleasant medicinal floral finish that didn’t leave the best taste in my mouth.

Black beer, thick head. Smells very lactose-y, which is unfortunate. Flavour sort of follows suit. Some chocolate and malt but far too much lactose and it ruins it. Genuinely surprised how much I don't like this.
