Neptune Brewery do a stout called Abyss too so we thought we would get together to brew a Double version, and rather than one brewer having a hissy fit at the other because they are using the same name we are being all grown up like!

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7

Bradford Beer Festival 2018. Practically black. It's strong tasting with its roasted malts taste, these are stated in its aroma too. It's all slightly washy though.

[ As Wishbone / Neptune Double Abyss ].
ABV: 6.8%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, coffee, dusty - dusty coffee. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, malt bitter, roasted, dark malt, coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180126]
