His name is Matt Vandenberghe and he created a sweet peach tea drink using Eagle Rare Bourbon as the base spirit. Tomme had a chance to taste these magical drinks during Seattle Beer Week a few years ago and has been looking at recreating this cocktail in beer.

The base beer is our famous Angel’s Share that we aged in fresh Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 9 months. To this we added some awesome whole peach slivers and a splash of Brettanomyces Clausenni to ferment the peaches. The beer has a great peach nose and a long carmelized bourbon finish. One of the most experimental of all the track series.

Bottle bought through Drikkeriget. Pours murky reddish brown with a small offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, fruity and boozy with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, peaches, apricots, hay, dry soil, roasted coconut and bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny viscous, boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, tiny bitter, malty and fruity with an intriguing blend of Angel’s Share and peaches.I liked this alot. Don’t detect much tea but who care. I very much like the blend. --- Beer merged from original tick of Track #11: Devil Went Down To Georgia on 15 Oct 2016 at 23:25 - Score: 8. Original review text: .I liked this alot. At FOBAB 2012. Pours a cloudy deep amber with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of peach with some dark roasted malts, backing bourbon and funk. Flavor is peach forward with some bourbon, funk and sweet grains backing.

Bottle shared at the BIG Friday tasting, massive thanks to our Ken for sharing the entire track set and also to Bruce for providing the accompanying music, additional credit to the new guy who showed up - ’Moonshine Jack’ he was sure a good old boy the way he played his banjo to this one - 03/01/14. Murky chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering that dissipates to spotting and edgework. Nose is bourbon, woody twang, touch of Bounty Bar, toffee fudge, booze, sweet tones. Taste comprises dark toffee fudge, sweet sugars, boozey do, dark fruit tang, rich cake mix, light chocolate. Medium bodied with bite, light warming alcohol in the closure. Ok American strong, booze is fairly well tapered, just a little overly sweet in places for me.

Mega Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Almost opaque dark brown beer, bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth with very light fine carbonation. A light touch of dark chocolate leads to sweet and tangy generic fruits that also have a candy vibe. Nice peachy tone on the backend. Finishes with vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate and peach. Another Track belter!
