It was an interesting bottle, regular ale with notes of nuts, brown chocolate, cacao, dry for the style, a bit watery, some hop, interesting, 21.03.2018, buying it at one beer shop, in Miraflores, Lima, in 2017, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

Dark brown coloured body with a thinnish off-white head, that fades pretty quickly with a fairly clear body that is lighter than I expected. Light aroma of chocolate, earth, nuts and a good deal of cherries, while once again, being pretty mild. Light-bodied; Fresh chocolate and cherry notes show up at first and leave some moderate malt and oat notes behind with some light rustic earthy qualities, but pretty mild throughout. Aftertaste shows some nice sweetness from the fruits and lactose with a bit of a creaminess towards the end - nice throughout with a mild profile throughout, while still showing chocolate and cherries. Overall, a nice and crisp beer with some cherry notes and a bit more of the chocolate flavours, but the malts, nuts and earthiness hits the hardest. Nice to sample and while I wasn't expecting to find a beer like this here in Peru, I was pleasantly surprised. I sampled this 33 cL bottle (blue front) purchased from Wong [grocery store] in CencoSud, San Isidro/Miraflores, Lima, Peru on 01-August-2022 for S./ 9,50 sampled on the streets of Lima, Peru with my wife and three kids on 02-August-2022.

Aroma is grapefruit chocolate moccha cocoa maybe vanilla. Taste is sweet chocolate with some bitter cocoa. Well balanced. Quite some oily hoppy stuff on the tongue. Big bubbles on the tongue. Ok.

12oz bottle pours a murky amber brown with some foamy, beige head. Nose has chocolate and rootbeer, caramel. Flavor of milk chocolate, grist and rootbeer. Slick finish. So-so.

Bottle at the May 1st DC tasting. Poured a light brown color with a huge fizzy head. Light funky chocolate, pale malts. Kind of like a watery newcastle.
