British roasted malts and hops are combined to make this red session ale. Moderately low bitterness allows the array of malt flavours to come forward.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 31st August 2024. Brown with pale tan foam and scant lacing. Rich malty aroma. Nutty malts in-mouth and in finish. Medium bodied with an engaging texture. Superb.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A reddish amber pour with a tight cream head; malty aroma; sweet bready malt taste; and a light twiggy bitterness before a sugary finish. Not my favourite from this brewery.

24/8/2023. Cask at the 31st East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear dark amber brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, earthy, dried fruits, berries. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, touch of berry tartness. Medium body, smooth, average to soft carbonation. Increasing bitterness to finish. Flavoursome.
