American-style red/amber ale is typical of the early craft movement. Complex malt character driven by dark crystal malts, Maris Otter pale malts, and a small addition of black treacle. Generously hopped with Mystic including a dryhop to add layers of fruit and citrus and balance the malt sweetness. Chewy malt, fruity hops, balanced bitterness.

Cask at the Harp - Chandos. Pours clear copper-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Light sweet flavour with notes of lightly toasted malts, a little leafy hop, accent of pine, orange peel, hay. Light bodied with delicate carbonation; good condition. Balanced finish, pleasantly malty, a nip of yeast, leaves, toasted grain. Nice overall.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 20th March 2024. Reddish brown with shallow, yellowy white foam and full lacing. Solid malts and pungencies in aroma. Rich and intense maltiness in-mouth with nuttiness- hazelnut. Ripe fruits and mild spices harmonise beautifully with this nutty malt, an accord that continues throughout a satisfying finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture. Superb.
