Can at Prince Arthur, Fleet. As soon as I popped the can I was asked, "Is that a raspberry beer?" Certainly is. Raspberry plus dark chocolate aroma. Inky black. Frothy foamy beige head. Flavourwise we have raspberries dipped in dark chocolate. Malty base. Sweet lacrose streak. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft-average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Good stuff.

Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, tidy bubbly tan head. Raspberry candy on the nose without even giving it a snort! Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin dark malts mouthfeel wise but adequate dark malt cream and dark chocolate. Good clear raspberry, presented in a jam and candy fashion, about 80% jam and 20% candy, the flavour working pretty well with the dark malts. A light and crisp finish. Thought this would be a clunker but, always good to take a chance, actually not bad at all.

Strong raspberries on the nose, chocolate, milk and more raspberries in the mouth, raspberry and chocolate aftertaste. Excellent breakfast glug. Really liked it!

Cask at the Golden Lion, Rochford on 8th December 2023. Rated as a novelty ale. Virtually Impenetrably black with pale tan foam and scant lacing. Raspberries, spices, earthy pungency and just a hint of aniseed in aroma. Sweet raspberry and roasted malts in-mouth with dairy notes. A finish of raspberry dessert with roast malt. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
