(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 29 May 2022) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, black rye bread and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, black bread, roasted malt, prunes and a gentle roasty bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced mild. Nice one.

Gravity cask at the 31st Ealing Beer Festival, Walpole Park, 15/07/22. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is nutty, caramel, dark malts, dried fruit rinds, pipe tobacco. Taste comprises brown bread, hint of treacle toffee, dark fruit rinds, light spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Solid flavoursome mild.

Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Coffee notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 18th June 2022. Deep ruby black with pale tan foam and full lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Herby, leafy hops and biscuit malt in-mouth, and a malty finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
