Darker Daze is the barrel aged version of our finely crafted collaboration stout Dark Daze. Expect treacle and chocolate upfront followed by a big, dry roasted finish. Big flavour and aroma from oak barrel aging takes Dark Daze to the next level! We've aged these three very limited edition imperial stouts for months in fresh American Whiskey, Scotch Whisky and French Cognac oak barrels.

The great ChrisO pre GBBF gathering. Almost clear deep amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Woody nose. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Mellow but tangy dark malts. Wood and fruity whiskey. Mild whiskey spice. Fluffy finish. Decent effort.

Bottle @ Chriso pre-GBBF Shindig 2016. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice woody flavor. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate and licorice finish.

Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 1 06/08/2016. Picked up from Beer shop St Albans. . An opaque black coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, sweet vanilla, oak, little farmyard rustic character. Flavour is composed of dark choc, bitter roast, earthy, vanilla, oak, Bourbon. Lingering bitter roast. Palate is medium full, highish carbonation, medium sweet. Better than I expected.

Bottle at Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF Shindig, 2016 (Sunday sesh.). Black pour with a fluffy beige head. Caramel, burnt toast and licorice aroma. Flavours of dark chocolate, ash, smoke, coffee. Very tasty.

Pre shinding 2016. Trübe dunkel orange braunes Bier mit geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch mild röstmalzig, Schokolade, etwas Whisky. Geschmack süß malzig, Schokolade, Vanille, bourbon, gut!
