Shared 22 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, and dark chocolate. Taste is fairly malty, with lots of toasty goodness, caramel, nuts, hints of chocolate, perhaps faint coffee notes, and a bit of smokiness. Medium-bodied. Quite enjoyable.

22 oz bottle purchased at Merrimac Liquors. Very dark brown color poured into a mug, foamy fast dying head. Nice aroma of sweet toffee, gentle caramel, notes of earthy Munich malts.

The flavor has a nice authentic German feel. Roasted nuts, caramelized sugar, toffee and some tobacco leaf. The body is in the medium level with some dryness. Soft, smooth carbonation level. Honestly not completely German but a very interesting take on the style. Borderline stout- like and I enjoyed sipping it. Would drink this again happily.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours brown with a creamy beige/tan head. Aroma of sweetish darkish malt with notes of darkish fruits. Med + body. Flavor is sweetish slightly roasty malt with fruits suggesting raisins and plums. Far from dry, far from bitter. Pretty decent beer for a malty experience.
