Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ chriso & Boudicca's pre- GBBF Shindig 2016 ] - Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As Pretty Things Bocky Bier ].Clear medium to dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, cookie, dark malt, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, bread, dark bread, cake, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160806] 7-3-8-3-15

The great ChrisO pre GBBF gathering. Hazy amber beer, patchy pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Ripe tasting malts, tangy toffee - caramel. Slightly spicy mid. Rich ripe fruits. Light spicy finish. Rich, ripe and tasty.

Bottle @ Chriso pre-GBBF Shindig 2016. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with hints of dark fruit. Fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit finish.

Bottle at level 42 (thanks to L-Dogg). It pours deep/dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, big malt loaf character, sticky fruit cake, cocoa, plum and fig. The taste is smooth, sticky =, brown bread, fruit cake, toasted sugars, malt loaf with a slick, brown bread finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Very good for the style.

Bottle split at Level 42, thanks to Leighton, 16/08/16. Rich mahogany brown with a decent tan swirl. Nose is brown bread, spice, dates, Soreen fruit loaf, cocoa powder. Taste comprises brown bread, toasted brown sugar, light cocoa, fruit loaf, raisens, toffee. Medium body with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid bock.

Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 1 06/08/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Mostly clear reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a small tan head. Aroma is tangy nutty malts, brown bready malts, raisin. Flavour is composed of medium sweet tangy nutty malts with a little vanilla, oak, dried fruits. Palate is medium sweet, medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Decent complexity.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre GBBF Shindig 2016 - London. Day 1. Pours clear brown with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds caramel, brown bread, light oxidation. Medium sweet flavour with notes of toasted bread, caramel, light bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with light dryness, more toasted brown bread, burnt toffee. Great stuff for the style.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth’s pre GBBF shindig; dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has chocolate and some dark roast, taste has dark fruits, sweet chocolate, a hint of molasses.

Bottle at Chriso pre GBBF Shindig 2016. Dark brown beer. Sweet in the mouth. Sweet smooth bock beer. Yes rather a good brown sugar sweet bock.
