Bottle on Amtrak Train 27 - The Empire Builder ( from Binny’s South Loop) - 04/11/12. Clear golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose comprises light floral tones, hops, pale malt and a little herb. Taste follows nose, fairly bland, floral and herb tones, light citrus. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Dull and bland.

same beer as Roscoes Hop House PA? [Genesee in Rochester NY]-12oz bottle pours gold with an offwhite head. Aroma is caramel-light malt. Taste is caramel-light malt, some spice hop. Decent training wheels starter.

Bottle from a Save-Mart. Pours light amber with a light beige head. Aroma of light roast malt with a hint of citrus. Med body plus. Frothy carb helps with the body. The malt is roasty enough to qualify for APA, and there’s some light hop bitter which seems citrus. A decent ale, but certainly not one to excite the nose and mouth.

Clearish golden coloured body with a light copper hue and a thin, fast-dying off-white head with a pretty ugly lace. Aroma of pale malt, light hops, alcohol and a lot of grass and perfume. Light-bodied; Soapy flavour at first with some potent grassy and pungent hops. Aftertaste has more of a balance with the hops and malt with a little sweet finish and a touch of grass at the very end too. Overall, not a good pale, with more of a grassy and perfumey note than one would typically like, but not a very bad beer - just okay. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, sampled in New Paltz, New York on 10-December-2011.

Bottle from Teeter Barracks Charlottesville. Pours a clear amber with a large frothy greenish-white head. Maybe it was the light I was in but it looked weird, and I drink in that same light all the time without issue. Aroma of floral hops and a soapy note. The taste is earthy, floral and fruity hops with a bitter finish. Thin-medium bodied and not well balanced.
