The mist that rolls in off the Irish Sea, enveloping the Mourne Mountains in a grey shroud. The mist that soaks you to the bone and disorientates you as you descend from the high peaks. We love those grey, misty days because they slowly replenish our water supply. Just like the original source of Pilsner, we combine soft brewing water with biscuity barley malt and the classic Bohemian hop variety, Saaz, for a floral aroma and an earthy bitterness. So there’s no need to complain about the weather again.

Dark yellow colour with thin head. Not much of a pop when opening the can and fairly low carbonation too. Lots of pale malts. Sweetish base with a soft, rounded bitterness. Good lager.

440ml can from Beer52; canned on 22nd Feb 2021. Drank at home on 23rd Mar 2021. Clean golden pour, fast fading white head. Fairly dry Pilsener with not much of a nose. Slight grassy smell if you sniff hard enough. Taste is a blend of grains and mildly citrus hoppiness. Easy drinking without exciting my senses.
