Can poured into a glass. Dark black. it did not have the tall, thick head I was expecting. Heavily roasted grain, some chocolate but i am not getting coffee. Good, smooth palate. Some sugar, but the roasted grain quality is stronger than the sweet flavor.

Can. Pours black with a chocolate brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice roasted malt and dark grain note with a bit of semi-dark chocolate underlying. Flavor has lots of bitter dark grains with a growing roasted malt note and a good amount of bitter dark chocolate.

Can. Pours deep black, medium brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, good lacing. Aroma is roasty, ashtray, coffee. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, roasty, coffee, chocolate, cigarettes. Minimal acidity. Medium body, a bit creamy. Pretty nice, actually.

16oz can. Deep brown black body. Respectable beige head laces up the glass. Roasty chocolate tones, smooth mellow chocolate aroma. Easy on the palate. .sessionable..drinkable. Classic US sweet stout.
