Cask @ Britons Protection, Manchester. Dark amber with a creamy-frothy head. Hoppy brown styled ale - certainly not a typical example, gritty and bready though.

Can. Somewhat lively when opening it. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolaty, coffeeish, toasted and mild caramel tones with a bit of dry wooden elements. Flavour is vegetables, some toasted tones, chocolate and mild coffee with a bit of roast and nuts too.

Quite roasty in aroma and bit floral. Taste is nice, more brown like, not so spicy, chocolate、touch of roast. Nice stuff. Bit of hoppiness.

Danke an minutemat. Dunkler, röstig süßlicher Beginn mit karamelligem Touch. Mild würzig-herb, sehr süffig, steigend röstig, dabei weich bleibend. Feinherb, würzig, langer karamelliger Nachhall. Lecker. 11/10/11/11/10/11

Can 440ml (BG, BB 010718)
Dark brown colour, nice medium-sized beige head. Aroma has toasted notes, coffee, caramel and some odd veggie notes. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, toasted malts, chocolate in the flavour. Light grassy notes. A bit restless. Maybe some hops have gone.

44 cl can @ home. BBE 01.07.2018
Aroma is a bit odd with toasted sugar and fruity hops. Flavour has coffee, toasted sugar, fruity hops, mild grapefruit tones. Finishes somewhat watery with ash and vichy. Palate is rather low on CO2. This is okay stuff, but could we have more traditional brown ales with less hops?

At a tasting, small stable creamy bubbly head, quite cloudy mid brown color with reddish taints, aroma of nuts and hay with some vanila and fudge, flavor of dark bread and milk chocolate, light balancing bitterness. Nice and easy to drink.
