Manchester Beer Festival 2018. Very dark ale. Its saltedness is part of dominant roasted malts very evident in both aroma and taste. The caramel subdues this to an extent, but is not very stated.

(Bottle) after month in the cellar, beer foams away from the bottle like the wildest wild ale. Bright, very dark brown colour with an extremely tall, brown head; aroma of roast, sour jam, sweet chocolate; sweet and sour flavour, long light tart finish. Another proof that throwing in all the favorite ingredients does not necessarily produce a great beer.

The coffee comes through perfectly, as does the caramel. However the body is slightly thin and the carbonation is way too high. 2017 advent calendar.

Dark brown color, frothy head. Smells of stale coffee, spices and ass. Green peppers, stale coffee, astringent and metallic finish. Very bad.

Bottle - Old coffee with some ash. Jet brown with a small light brown head. Dark coffee and burnt notes. Not sure how they planned on getting this profile to taste like salted caramel.

Dark brown. Just a thin head. This has some stoutish elements, but this is somewhat thin. I don't get salt or caramel, not that I object to missing those things. I just would like a bigger, fuller base beer.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very harsh, with burnt coffee, earthy notes, harsh bitterness, and a touch of caramel. Flavour is similar, with burnt earthy coffee, light caramel and harsh bitterness. Rather harsh and bitter. It's okay.

330ml bottle. Pours an unclear dark brown with yeast particles floating around and a large, frothy, short lived, tan head that laces. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate and ashtray. Sweet flavour of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, bitter coffee and light ash with a dry, tangy, salty finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle from the bro. Black body with a medium beige head that holds well. Good lacing. Aroma of filter coffee and jalapeño. Flavour of caramel, steel and brown bread. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Very fizzy. A decent effort although it’s a bit sharper than I expected.
