Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky peach color with a pinkish hue and a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was semi sweet and yeasty with cracker and pink grapefruit. The flavor was tart with pink grapefruit and yeast. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

On tap as part of a discounted flight.
Sample glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with slim faint yellow hues arranging themselves in and out on the body. Light carbonation was somewhat seen rising.
The smell had the blood orange up front and didn’t really allow much else there.
The taste was mainly orange fruity sweet. Strong orange aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation comes across pretty strong.
Overall, not a hefeweizen, no qualities of a true one exists in this beer. However, being that the blood orange does come across as pure and authentic, I’m slightly at a loss for how to put my numbers on this one. Leaves me scratching my head a bit because I liked it for what it is.

On tap at the downtown brewpub. Cloudy light orange with big off-white head. Aroma is oranges, medium body, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is fruity (mostly oranges) and wheaty. Easy to drink and good beer. The best of their beers I have had.

Shaker pint draft at the brewpub in Columbus, Ohio. The pour is a deeply hazed blood orange with a small white head. The aroma is the strong fruit of the blood orange, along with grain wheat, some light clove yeast, and a touch of lemon citrus. The taste is blood orange, the fruit dominates initially, followed by some bitterness from the peel, turns to the wheat grain, and finishes with a hint of clove - aftertaste is more orange peel. The palate is light bodied, pleasant unfiltered mouth feel, lowish carbonation, a minor note of diacetyl (this grew some as it warmed, showing oak and butter) in the muted fruit finish. Thirst quenching, fun beer.

Sample at Ale House #1. The beer is a hazy tangerine color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes to an outer ring quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet citrus and wheat. Light, clean body with flavors of citrus and tropical fruit, along with touches of sweet malt and wheat. Minimal hops in the background. The finish is fruity and short. Slightly above average overall.
