Keg at the brewery; dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has strong coffee, taste has dark roast, dark fruits, hint of chocolate, decent.

On tap at the taproom. Trübes dunkel orange braunes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr Schokoladig, süß malzig, leicht röstmalzig, etwas Kaffee. Geschmack süß schokoladig malzig, Lakritze, milde Bitterkeit.

Keg at the brewery. Opaque black, mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is earthy choc, mint choc chip, mellow coffee, hint of pine needles. Flavour is composed of milk choc, mellow roasted coffee, rich dark choc, low jammy fruits, hint of bark bitter wood. Palate is medium full, milky, rounded, moderate carbonation. Mellow lingering bitter roast. Nicely balanced.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours clear deep brown with a creamy, khaki head. Nice toasted biscuit aroma, with hints of toffee, cocoa, maple. Medium sweet flavour with nice roast, more biscuit, mellow earthy bitterness, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more toasty toffee, moderate roast, light earthy bitterness. Really solid.
