It’s the best of both worlds! Brewed like a lager but hopped like an IPA, we are very excited to introduce something a little different to the Four Winds lineup! Fermented cold using a hybridized lager yeast, Icebox presents incredibly clean and crisp, but is rounded out by hefty additions of Mosaic and Cascade hops during fermentation. Show Less

473 ml can. Pours a bright gold with light head. Aromas of lemongrass, fruity wine gums and biscuity malts. Flavors of lemons, a little pine, and sharp biscuity malts. Clean and sharp. Nice

On tap at brewery. Clear pale gold under a large off white head that leaves tight lace. Nose is grass, light pine and grains. Light sweet malt with a medium- grassy bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation and a crisp finish. 7/4/7/3/14

Yellow, very pale. The aroma is lightly grassy. It's dry, but not weak; mild crispy malt base; the hopping is not bad, with mild grassy notes and balanced bitterness; hints of minerals.
Pleasant Lager, not even hopped to an India level.

Quite pale, slight haze. Low bitterness, a light pale malt note. Sort of sulphury/oniony. Muted, for an IPA.

16oz @ Ryan's shared with Farees. Appearance: a bit hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: a bit dank and some caramel, crispy. Taste: along the same lines, a bit rubbery. Overall: mmmm, meh?

Re-rate: Poured from 473mL can (pkg 06//12/2022). Near clear bright yellow gold with small white head. Appreciating this a lot more on the second go round. Biscuity pils malt with a balanced hop backing. Decent. Jan 20, 2023 (6/4/6/3/13=32): Poured from 473mL can (4W club). Clear gold with small white head. [Drunk while watching the brewers talking about it on the club live stream recording - apparently hopped with Mosaic, Enigma, and Cascade hops and with Nova Lager yeast strain - about 4 weeks old since delivery]. Dry and crisp pilsner-ish forward with very subtle hop quality. Most of the hops have disappeared at this point. Would prefer to drink fresh, but it does have a crisp mild pils quality to it.

473mL can, pours a mostly clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, light dankness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has a nice oily, dank, piney hop character, and just enough dry biscuity malt. Oily, piney and lightly dank, with good hop expression. Very good.
