Introducing PIG! We've been wanting to have a West Coast Style IPA in regular rotation for a while now, and PIG is it!

PIG is a clearer, slightly drier IPA with a pleasantly bitter backbone. Featuring classic west coast hops (Simcoe, Centennial & Cascade), it imparts notes of pine, pineapple and juicy fruits.

For a wannabe West Coast IPA, this surely is cloudy; blond. Fruity aroma, sweet orange and a dash of tropical juice, peach. Dry mouthfeel, a bit starchy, with the bitterness being also a bit pithy; there are some piney resins, some hop-burn. I was not the one calling this is a West Coast IPA, surely it's not even the cousin of it.

2022-10-28, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, canned 09/19/22, 5 weeks old; 7-4-7-4-15=37
Blond colour, clean, like god intended IPAs to be. It's dry, crisp, with delicate bread and honey notes, and with bold hopping, providing herbaceous and resinous notes; I light brighter hop character, but I'm already happy somebody is brewing a modern IPA.
Good.
