Introducing PIG! We've been wanting to have a West Coast Style IPA in regular rotation for a while now, and PIG is it!

PIG is a clearer, slightly drier IPA with a pleasantly bitter backbone. Featuring classic west coast hops (Simcoe, Centennial & Cascade), it imparts notes of pine, pineapple and juicy fruits.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy yellow, medium white head. Nice dose of citrus zest, and pine resins. Mouth feel and carb are solid. Light to medium bitterness. It's good, but nothing special. I feel like I've had this ever from Bellwoods 25 times.

Can: Poured a golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy floral hops undertones with some light bitter notes. Taste is also a mix of citrusy floral hops undertones with some light bitter notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid West Coast IPA with a great level of drinkability.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg Nov 03, 2023). Clear blonde gold with minimal white head. Biscuit malt, mild citrus and pine hops, everything just seems a bit subdued, not all that west coast, but decent.

Golden colour, just a slight haze. Medium head. Big hop nose, apricots, some orange, even a little pine. There's a lot of pale malt here, too. Medium bitterness. The hops are similarly big, maybe a bit more muddled but all told not bad.

473 ml can. Pours a bright amber with light head. Aromas of candied citrus, candied pineapple, pine and toasty malts. Flavors of candied fruit, grass, bitter pine, and grainy malts. Favors are at odds and not living up to the really nice aromas.

473mL can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle but bright piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is grainy, with bright piney hops, some herbal notes, lots of grainy toasted notes, and straw. Not the best hop expression -- too herbal -- and the palate is rather grainy. Not bad, but not exceptionally happy with this.

Can from the LCBO. Lightly hazed medium gold with a small long lasting white head that leaves a bit of spotty lace. Nose is pine, grapefruit, melon, light pineapple and some floral notes. Minimal fruity sweetness with a moderate resinous bitterness with more of the grapefruit and pineapple Mouth is medium slick with solid carbonation and a juicy finish. 8/4//7/4/15
