Can from the lcbo. Pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is malty, soft sweetness, light caramels and fruit. Hints of chocolate malts, fruity malts, and subtle caramel flavours. Overall there are hints of the advertised flavours smattered all over the beer, but I would say it's a cohesive flavoured beer. It's not bad, but it's messy and all over the place and just plain odd.

This flavoured beer poured a deep amber colour with a light tan coloured head. Medium lacing. Scents include caramel, light coffee and sweetness of ice cream. First swig was not as sweet as expected. Flavours of roasted caramel, toast and a little vanilla. Finish is lightly sweet with a creamy, caramel flavour lingering.

Pours a slight hazed copper-brown colour with a purple-red highlight. The head is mocha-coloured but ends quickly, fizzing away, leaving a ring around the collar. Smells nice at first pour, but then goes into something quite weird. After breathing a bit, does show the truffle part with the chocolate notes and caramel in the back, with hints of salt. Some nuttiness and mild coffee also show up. Flavours are a bit all over the place with the roasted, chocolate malts, nuts, coffee... but not much caramel and saltiness. Alright and nice to try.

Can from the LCBO. Dark reddish brown with a small short lived off white head. Nose is toffee, toast, chocolate, dark fruit and some nuts. Medium- caramel sweetness with a light fruity tartness and a light+ saltiness. Mouth is on the thin side with soft carbonation. OK. 7/3+/6/3/13
